Let us suppose that you are the toughest fighter in the state. Let us further suppose that you are also the best pistol and rifle shot. You are walking down a mountain trail, you have your gun and machete with you. As you round an outcropping of rock someone steps out behind you and hits you over the head with an iron pipe. BAM, you are done for. Did your fighting skills let you down? Absolutely not! It was your awareness, or lack thereof, that was not there.
In the Ki Society we practice meditation, breathing and specific exercises that increase our awareness. This applies to driving, touchy political situations, as well as to physical confrontation. Because we practice positive relaxation our Ki naturally flows and this in turn increases our awareness of what is going on around us.
